Do you want a fulfilling career with lots of variety in the healthcare field? DBU’s Medical Assistant program will teach you to give injections, perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, assist physicians with minor surgeries, and handle emergency situations. In addition, you’ll learn medical office skills, methods for scheduling and receiving patients, and techniques for processing insurance claims, patient accounts, and collection forms. Graduates are prepared for careers in doctors’ offices, hospitals, and clinics.
Objectives
This program’s objectives are to develop in the student the necessary personal traits with the highest possible office and technical skills to perform as an efficient Medical Assistant. You will learn to demonstrate at all times strong ethics and respect for the dignity and safety of the patient.
