a jump start on your college education. Enroll in the DBU
High School Advantage Program. A qualifying high school senior
may take up to 4 courses at DBU tuition free.
Accumulating
college credit while in high school can accelerate a student's
degree completion and result in cost savings.
Elegibility Guidelines:
- Elligible applicants must be current year graduating students.
Eligibility starts at the completion of their junior year.
Students would be eligible the summer between their junior
year and senior year continuing through until the next spring.
- The student must have a signed recommendation from the
shool counselor showing the students cumulative grade point
average of at least 2.5.
- A student's grade point average between 2.0 and 2.4 will
be considered for enrollment under the following condition.
The student must write a one page essay about their interest
in a program at DBU. The Director of Education will determine
eligibility based on the individual's essay.
- Only general education requirements and beggining level
classes will be considered for free tuition.
- The student will be responsible for the cost of textbooks,
laboratory fees, or online access fees associated with the
specific course.
- If a student should fail or withdraw while enrolled under
the High School Advantage Program, the student must appeal
in writing to the DBU academic department for continued
enrollment under this program.
- The High School Advantage Program is considered and investment
in the student's future. The program is on a first come
first serve basis. DBU quarter starts are January, April,
July and October.
